Clinician (Respiratory Therapist or LPN)
Job Summary:
The Therapist/Clinician performs a wide variety of duties as they relate to company policy. The Clinician must demonstrate organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy while
Working in a complex home care environment. This position must be able to competently and compassionately service patients and establish a genuine patient and family rapport. The Therapist/Clinician must have some degree of ability in typing, data entry, filing, and office etiquette. Must have ability to communicate and work with patients. He/she must be able to communicate in a verbal and written manner both in the field and in an office atmosphere. This job requires the ability to perform duties quickly with a high level of accuracy.
Essential Duties/Skills:
- Equipment Knowledge: CPAP, BiPAP, Nebulizers, 0xygen, Aerosol Therapy, Trachs, Ventilators
- Must know the proper operation, function and delivery procedure for all equipment. Must have the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to education patients and family members on equipment instructions and care. Must follow-up with patient questions or concerns.
- Ability to maintain documentation necessary in equipment delivery.
- Accurate charting, timely setups, thorough follow-ups, appropriate equipment set-ups.
- Able to handle difficult patients/family members.
- Speak knowledgeably to physicians regarding patients.
- Work effectively with other personnel (HCCs, CSRs, etc.).
- Other duties required as needed.
Education:
Respiratory Therapy degree or Nursing degree required. A current license is required.
Experience:
Previous clinical experience is required. Previous Management experience recommended. Experience working with HME is preferred.
Supervision:
Responsible to: The Location Manager, the Clinical Director, the VP of operations and CEO.
Physical Necessities & Exposure Risk:
The physical demands will be light to moderate. Exposure to hazardous materials will be occasional when entering patient home and health care facilities.
