Customer Service Representative
Job Summary:The CSR must demonstrate organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy while working in a complex home care environment. Customer Service Reps. Must be able to competently and compassionately service patients and establish a genuine patient and family rapport. This position requires multi-tasking and problem solving. The CSR must have high degree of ability in typing, data entry, filing, and office etiquette. A CSR should have the ability to communicate and work with patients. Must have a high level of verbal and written communication. This position needs to perform duties quickly with a high level of accuracy.
Essential Duties/Skills:
- Provide courteous service to patients and referrals.
- Follow professional email etiquette, keeping all email work related and HIPAA compliant.
- When needed, answer telephone and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Must have a thorough understanding of all medical equipment supplied by the Company.
- Ability to track CMN’s and compliance paperwork.
- Maintain detailed documentation (ex. Sleep studies, CMN’s, Physician Orders etc.).
- Must oversee completion of all paperwork necessary to the procedures and policies of the company.
- Ability to verify insurance.
- Must track qualifying diagnosis and documentation requirements for equipment being set up in the customer home.
- Ability to dispatch delivery techs at times.
- Tracking and checking off of the fax log.
- Other duties required as needed.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required with preference given for additional college or professional training.
Experience:
Previous experience in an office atmosphere is preferred. Previous experience working with referral sources recommended. Experience working in a environment pertaining to Doctor’s offices, hospitals, Health care institutions, patients, and/or HME is preferred. Background in customer service is highly recommended.
Supervision:
Responsible to: the Location Manager, CSR Supervisor, VP of operations and CEO.
Physical Necessities & Exposure Risk:
The physical demands will be light to moderate. Exposure to hazardous materials will be minimal to none.
