Retail Sales Associate

The Retail Sales Associate performs a wide variety of duties as they relate to company policy. This position requires multi-tasking and problem solving. The Retail Sales Associate must have a strong ability in customer service; phone skills, sales, data entry and office etiquette. The Retail Sales Associate should have the ability to communicate and work with patients. The person in this position must maintain a courteous, patient and friendly demeanor at all times. The Retail Sales Associate must have a high level of verbal and written communication. This position needs to perform duties quickly with a high level of accuracy.

• Greet customers/patients in the store. Provide courteous service to patients throughout their visit to the store.


• Direct patients and customers to proper area to be helped with their needs.


• Open the cash register at the beginning of the workday. Close the register at the end of the workday.


• Know how to use the cash register to ring up customers.


• Have the ability to help a customer find the product that they need. Sales attitude to up-sell items in the store.


• Answer telephones and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.


• Must have a thorough understanding of all medical equipment supplied by the Company.


• Tag and price merchandise in the store.


• Track and maintain retail inventory.


• Ability to fit shoes for diabetic needs.


• To perform additional duties as needed.

High school diploma or equivalent is required with preference given for additional college or professional training.

Experience:

Previous experience in an office atmosphere is preferred. Experience working in a environment related to HME is preferred. Background in customer service ore sales is highly recommended.

Supervision:
Responsible to: the (Retail) Location Manager, VP of retail and Home Accessibility.

Physical Necessities & Exposure Risk:
The physical demands will be light to moderate. Exposure to hazardous materials will be minimal.
