Scheduler


Job Summary:

The Scheduler performs a wide variety of duties as they relate to company policy. This position provides technical support for medical equipment issues for customers as well as technicians. The Scheduler will maintain essential documentation relating to company policy. This person will schedule patient deliveries and the routes of the technicians/drivers and Respiratory Therapists. This position will be in charge of taking orders over the phone from patients. The person in this position must have the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues over the phone and respond to issues or problems regarding equipment usage. They must maintain good communication with fellow employees including technicians/drivers, Respiratory Therapists and Home Care Coordinators.



Essential Duties/Skills:

  • Maintains pertinent records with regard to field equipment, customer information, and legal documentation as it relates to company policy.

  • Schedule patient orders and deliveries.

  • Route technicians/drivers and Respiratory Therapists in a efficient and effective way.

  • Occasionally participate in the loading and unloading of equipment from vehicles and cleaning said equipment according to company standards.

  • Be able to explain how to properly setup, fix and maintain medical equipment when a patient or delivery personnel encounters mechanical issues.

  • Inform Home Care Coordinators of completed orders, making sure to follow up on any issues.

  • Must maintain a professional and courteous manner toward clients, customers, and staff.

  • Always have proper phone etiquette.

  • Other duties required as needed.


Education:

High-school diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given for additional college, professional, or technical training.



Experience:

Preference will be given for previous technical experience. Experience in field requiring a high degree of technical skill, concentration, and the ability to gather pertinent customer information, is recommended. Experience in Customer Service or Technical Support is useful.



Supervision:

Oversees: The routes and deliveries of technicians and Respiratory Therapists
Responsible to: The Location Manager, VP of Operations and CEO.



Physical Necessities & Exposure Risk:

The physical demands will be light to heavy (occasional lifting/moving of equipment) Exposure to infectious disease and hazardous materials is minimal as a matter of routine.
