Technician/Delivery Personnel
Job Summary:
The Delivery Personnel perform a wide variety of duties as they relate to company policy. This position helps provide the technical support for setting up medical equipment for our customers as well as maintaining essential documentation relating to company policy. A high degree of technical skill, concentration, and the ability to gather pertinent customer information, is required. Must be able to develop rapport with managers, customers, and staff. Must also be able to communicate successfully in both verbal and written skills. Must understand the safe and proper handling, transporting, and filling of liquid and compressed oxygen.
Essential Duties/Skills:
- To adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- To present themselves in uniform as dictated by the Company and to look and act professional at all times.
- Maintains pertinent records with regard to field equipment, customer information, and legal documentation as it relates to company policy.
- Participates in loading and unloading of equipment from vehicles and cleaning said equipment according to company standards. Properly setup and takeout medical equipment placed in the customer’s home.
- Performs on-call duties as assigned. On call is considered as being on company time performing company duties.
- Maintains a professional and courteous manner toward clients, customers, and staff.
- Other duties required as needed.
Education:
High-school diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given for additional college, professional, or technical training. Must have valid drivers license free of suspensions and no history of DUI.
Experience:
Preference will be given for previous experience and professional accreditation. Training will be provided for all employees and especially those selected that lack previous experience.
Supervision:
Responsible to: the Location Manager, VP of Operations and CEO.
Physical Necessities & Exposure Risk:
The physical demands will be light to heavy (such as lifting/moving equipment, etc.) The employee must pass a physical exam with drug test before being hired and thereafter as deemed necessary by management. A random drug test will be a matter of routine for all delivery personnel. Exposure to hazardous materials will be occasional when entering patient homes and/or Health Care facilities. Exposure to infectious disease and hazardous materials is a potential risk.
