Premier Home Care is proud to offer our clients comprehensive therapy care from certified and experienced rehabilitation therapists. We offer the following rehabilitation services:
Physical Therapy: including treatment performed upon referral from a doctor that includes exercises for increasing or restoring strength, endurance, range of motion, coordination, use of assistive devices to enhance function, and use of physical agents such as heat and cold to relieve pain. Our areas of expertise include: musculoskeletal disorders, muscle strains, joint sprains, muscle weakness, joint pain and stiffness, tendonitis, neck and back pain, and posture deficits. PT’s also treat neurological and balance problems caused by injury, stroke, or surgery.
Occupational Therapy: including the evaluation and treatment of patients from pediatric to elderly populations that present with diagnoses that include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Overuse injuries to the shoulder, elbow, wrist, or hand (sprains, strains, tendonitis, etc.)
- Upper extremity fractures
- Upper extremity weakness due to stroke or nerve injury
- Upper extremity splinting for fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, surgery, and positioning
- Activities of Daily Living training such as meal preparation and self-care skills
- Use of adaptive equipment to improve independence with daily activities
- Pediatrics: developmental delays, sensory integration, fine motor dysfunction
Speech Therapy: designed to help individuals improve listening, speaking, reading, writing, thinking, and swallowing skills for optimal level of functioning. The goal of speech therapy is to provide specialized services for, but not limited to, the following:
- Speech disorders
- Childhood language delays and disorders
- Swallowing difficulties in adults and children
- Fluency disorders (stuttering)
- Voice impairments
- Infant feeding problems
- Speech and language deficits associated with stroke, head injury, or other illnesses
- Cognitive and memory impairments
- Counseling for reflux (GERD)
- Foreign and regional accent reduction
